I was told by a nice and reliable source that my blog is too hard to read. I know reading light on a dark background isn’t good for the eyes…especially those who have a fair bit older eyes than the rest of us. But, I totally dug the look. It added to the mysterious, dreary Prague setting that I have been living in for the past few months.

Thus, at the request of my older much-too-young-to-be-complaining sister, I have switched it up. And, yes, that is a picture of Prague Castle that I added in the header.  But, the snowflakes stay. I didn’t get a white Christmas so I can hold on to that for a bit (till they expire on Jan 2 at least!)

But, I suppose as the New Year rolls around, new plans abound, new stories are told, why not switch it up a bit.

Change is good.

So, with the new setting, will come some new blogs…a new, fresh attitude. (Saucy, I know!)

I have become addicted to this blogging thing and reading others blogs and have caught on to a few tips and tricks to keep you all entertained. Because if my stories about my students and cheeseburger bunging don’t quite do it all for you, I want something that will.

In order to do this, I am going to start a coupe new series, if you will. One I will do for sure is an interactive that requires all your input. I love Prague. And, realize I am just getting settled. But, I am now researching new destinations for the late spring/early summer. I have several locations in mind and will post about them- the pros, the cons- and expect you to help me choose where I go next. I think Fridays are a good day for this. I will give you all the info, pictures, and stories about where I want to go and why and you tell me what you think about that. Sometime in March I should have my next destination solidified for all of you thinking of coming to visit in spring/summer. Fun, right?

And, the other that may or may not be posted here is a writing segment that a couple of my girls here and I have talked about doing. Jen and Alicia are both bloggers and love to write, just like I do, and we decided to start a writing group where we can select topics, write on them, and then share them. This will eventually develop into three best-selling novels, but why not start on a small scale and work our way up?

There you go. A whole new ALifeinthePresent. Ain’t blogging a grand waste of time?
