A life in the present…

In September 2007 I left my home in Colorado to embark on a journey abroad. I had never been to Europe before and chose Prague, Czech Republic as my initial destination. I survived a year there and came to love Europeans and their culture to the point that it was hard to leave.

Praha was just the starting point and I knew there was more I wanted to see and experience.  So, I returned home to process paperwork to get into Asia and now…I am here in Bucheon, South Korea. I just finished one year here and signed on for another. I guess I just haven’t had enough of the jimjilbang, kimchi, or noraebanging.

Lucky me, I have 6 weeks paid vacation this year so I hope to  get off this little peninsula and see more, do more, be more.

So, I will post pics and tell stories that will make you all want to drop everything and come visit me in each of the exotic and worldly destinations I visit. But, if you can’t drop everything to come see me then you can certainly follow me via this site as I live my life in the present moment. Not worried about what happened in the past, not concerned with what will happen in the future. Just being. Just present.

OH MY GOD LORI!!! What an exciting adventure!! Me and Dave were thinking about you and found you on myspace! We’re still in boring Fort Collins and still engaged – one day we’ll get off our lazy asses and plan a wedding! We miss you!

Hello, what fun it is to read your articles and comments. I am a Czech living in the USA. I completely understand your “foreigner experience”. I relate to where you come from and where you are living now. :-) Great experience for you! Have fun and take it easy! By the way – nothing got lost in translation in your Easter editorial. Thank you and keep on writing! :-)

Hi! I really enjoyed reading some of your Czech posts. I went to the Bone Church in Kutna Hora back in 2006 and it blew me away. Mind if I ask, which school did you earn your certificate through? I’m thinking of going back, but there are way too many schools to choose from and some seem sketchy. Sorry if this seems random, but I stumbled on this blog during my frantic searching!
