A celebration

26 August 2009

As this torturous week continues, there is a break in the monotony of things today as we celebrate a milestone here at my school.   Parents, teachers, students and dignitaries from all over will come to witness this event: the opening of our school’s cafeteria.

And, all for food that looks like this:

Before kids stayed at their desks and ate lunch in the classrooms as teachers had to help serve and later clean up after these messy monkeys.

Now, the idea is to throw about 300 of them at a time into a giant cafeteria and watch them devourer their kimchi and chiggae.

But, first a ribboon cutting and ceremony because it wouldn’t be Korean without either of those.
