Since you all keep asking, here’s the dirt on the lovely folks in my pictures:

This here is Tonya.

We met last year while riding across the small Japanese island of Tshusima.  She is also my yoga buddy  who likes to run.  A LOT!  Just before this trip, she was the only woman to run 75km over ? (I can’t remember if it was 5 or 13) peaks in 17 hours with a bunch of ultra-marathoners just like her  (ie, crazy).

Thus, on our trip she had some wicked heel blisters and swollen ankles that required some serious elevation.  Yet, as hard core as she is, she continued in the fun with yoga on the beach and scuba diving.

This is Leila.

Liz met Leila while walking to work one morning in good ole Bucheon.  Leila is a super fun Floridian who is like honey drawing Pooh when it comes to making friends.  She arrived a day before I did and by the time I got to the beach she had down who was cool, where to go, and what to do.  She pretty much knew every Filipino on the beach and they would shout out to her every time they saw her to say hi (I think it was her glorious beach hair!)

Here’s Elissa and Matty.

They hail from the mid-west.  Mila-wa-kee.  They enjoy looking for new jobs, sitting in the sweltering heat of their apartment with no air conditioning, and the ABC song.

Matt pitches bits (like for SNL skits) and Elissa kindly rejects them when they aren’t funny.  He also likes to tan the top of his feet until an unhealthy and blistery burn appears while Elissa likes to check out the gun shows offered by young Filipino boys.

They are pretty cool peeps.  You should FB friend them.  Especially Matt.  No one ever wants to be his friend.
